Cllr Calland Encourages Merton & Wandsworth To Shop Locally

I have launched the #ShopLocal campaign in Merton & Wandsworth to help save local businesses and jobs.

This campaign has a simple message:

Shop Local > Protect Our High Streets > Save Jobs.

The Government put in place world leading measures of support during the Coronavirus Pandemic to help protect jobs and businesses.

But the Coronavirus Pandemic has hit businesses hard in Merton & Wandsworth.

And sadly, some are not expected to survive.

Together, we can all do our bit to save local businesses and jobs. Why not join the #ShopLocal Facebook Group today and share where you shop, letting others know about your great local find.

Many of our local businesses have helped us through the Coronavirus Pandemic.

Many have supported volunteer groups and provided food deliveries for those most in need.

Now it's our turn to help those who helped us.

Without local customers our high streets will struggle to survive. So we need to shop locally to save jobs.

If we all shop locally, local jobs and businesses in Merton & Wandsworth can be saved.

Merton & Wandsworth businesses are the beating heart of our community.

And we need to do all we can to support them at this difficult time.

With your support we can protect our high streets by shopping locally.

So please, help protect our high streets and save jobs in Merton & Wandsworth by shopping locally and join the #ShopLocal Facebook group today.

Cllr Louise Calland, Conservative GLA Candidate for Merton & Wandsworth.
